Record growth announced for field service company

Continua, the provider of multi-vendor support for print-to-post equipment, recently announced that on top of gaining new business in 2008, it had also had record revenues in May.

The company has won 24 service and maintenance accounts worth over £2m in the first quarter of 2008. Further to this, it had recorded, revenues of £1.5m in May - the highest revenue accomplished in any one month.


The signing of contracts, with some of the UK’s leading print outsourcing companies and one of the leading financial institutions, has resulted in increased revenue of 17% year-on-year.


These figures indicate a growing demand for multi-vendor support and maintenance within the printing market sector, the company says. Under the new service contracts, Continua will support a wide variety of cut sheet and continuous feed production equipment, including Kodak, IBM and Xerox printers. The company will also service and maintain a wide range of pre- and post printing equipment as well as Kern and Pitney Bowes Inserters.


Each of the new contracts have been tailored by Continua to meet the individual requirements of each customer, including response times, hours of cover, on-call and on-site presence.


Neil Ross, Continua’s managing director, said: ‘So far 2008 has been an unprecedented year for us as a company. We believe our success in the current financial climate is the result of our ability to offer a multi-vendor service that reduces costs and simplifies the print management process.

 

‘The fact we have taken on a record number of contracts underlines the current market demand for bespoke maintenance and services.’
