The system is designed to enable companies to implement in a fraction of the time of traditional mobile solutions and at a significantly reduced cost, the company states. Workflow DynMX, a fully managed service, is the next generation of Aeromark’s Mobile Forms, which recently won Best Mobility Innovation Award at the Convergence World Awards 2008, as a branded solution for Orange. Based on an ASP model, using the company's new RapidXB technology and binary token protocol (BTP), Workflow DynMX is designed to enable the creation of bespoke PDA workflows without the need for bespoke software development. Applications can now be deployed in half the time, the company states, resulting in cost reductions when compared with other similar solutions. Tony Barr, IT director, of Lantec, an IT solutions and logistics provider that is currently rolling out Workflow DynMX to its 175 field engineers said: 'Following an extensive review of solutions in the mobile worker space we selected Aeromark based on its innovative technology and its ability to deliver a complete mobile workforce solution. We’ve worked closely with Aeromark to quickly develop eight mobile workflow processes that match our specific business requirements and we were still able to run a pilot within three weeks of signing the contract. 'Workflow DynMX ensures fast, accurate exchange of task instructions and resulting job completion data that will enable us to improve our service levels and dramatically increase our operational efficiency. Additionally, our decision to roll out the Aeromark technology was based on the considerable cost savings it will bring. It also offers the ability to modify workflows within days rather than months.' 'Previously, many organisations employed a mobile solution provider to design and develop bespoke PDA and server applications. This was costly, took up considerable resource and led to a dependence on the provider for any modifications,' said Roger Marks, Aeromark MD. 'We have taken a very different technology approach to how mobile applications are designed and deployed. Our Workflow DynMX technology utilises our generic software the behaviour of which can be modified to match bespoke customer workflows very quickly.' The system is also designed to make it easier for customers to integrate with their existing enterprise systems by providing a simple to use application programming interface (API). This also allows integration with Aeromark’s Optimatics solution which combines complex data feeds from the company’s telematics systems, field service and job scheduling applications to provide the complete mobile worker solution. |
