It will continue to sell its supply chain products directly to end users, but the Psion Teklogix range of mobile computing products, which includes the new iKôn PDA, is now only available through authorised distributors and resellers. The company felt that selling its range of mobile computers both directly and through resellers was creating confusion in the market. Darrel Williams, Psion Teklogix UK Ltd’s director of mobile sales, explains: ‘The changes are designed to simplify Psion Teklogix’s route to market. For the first time Psion’s partners are benefiting directly from the supply chain sales force and Psion’s direct marketing.’ Varlink will offer the complete range of Psion Teklogix mobile data collection products, and Psion Teklogix has appointed Blackroc and Ingram Micro as distributors for its range of mobile equipment. |
