Following the pattern of other recent Phoenix acquisitions, Trend Network Services and business continuity specialist Network Disaster Recovery (NDR), Servo will continue to operate as a separate business unit but will be able to call upon the financial might of Phoenix as well as the expertise of the other group companies. The acquisition now gives Phoenix significant capabilities to directly address accounts in the SME market - opportunities that it was denied through its previous service through partners only model. ‘This acquisition is great news for Servo and for our customers, because we can now offer a much wider service portfolio than before,’ said Servo managing director David Jones. ‘With Phoenix IT’s backing, we have a tremendous opportunity to increase our footprint in our existing client base, as well as to grow our market share overall,’ Jones added. ‘Servo is an excellent strategic fit with Phoenix, with opportunities to leverage our existing skills and logistics resources and to develop cross selling opportunities, principally with the Group’s disaster recovery and business continuity business, NDR, which also has a broad customer base,’ said Phoenix chief executive, Nick Robinson. ‘Our continued expansion into the growing SME market for managed services and outsourcing is a natural extension of our existing offering and we expect to generate significant benefits for the Group as a result of the acquisition,’ Robinson concluded. |
