Microsoft Business Solutions has announced that it is to add new enhancements to its Enterprise Resource Planning product lines. Over the next 12 months, the four lines, Axapta, Great Plains, Navision and Solomon, will all see significant enhancements. According to Microsoft, the strategy for this involves four themes; ownership, adaptivity, users and connectedness address fundamental area in which the application needs to meet customer requirements. Satya Nadella, vp of Microsoft Business Solutions, claims that businesses are telling the company that they have a core set of operational requirements that they are concerned with above and beyond individual product features. Nadella went on to claim that '[Microsoft's] strategy is to continue investing in research in these four ERP solutions to ensure that customers have a choice of the product that will best meet their needs today.' The corporation also used the announcement to give details of its ERP release timetable for the next couple of years with Great Plains scheduled for the beginning in June, Solomon to unveiled in July followed by Navision later this year and Axapta is pencilled in for next year.
