Customer Relationship Management (CRM) firm, Onyx Software has completed a project to supply Starbucks with an Enterprise CRM system in North America. As yet it is unclear whether Onyx will receive any free mochas in return for its services. The project was rolled out to approximately 250 Starbucks Foodservice representatives in North America and the company will use the Onyx system for delivery and management of leads, effective pipeline management, activation of new accounts and resolution of customer issues for their Foodservice business. The Foodservice team focuses on delivering Starbucks products to operators in hotels, restaurants, colleges, universities, businesses and industry. This extensive growth area, which led to the development of several non-integrated customer databases, will now be consolidated into a single system. The news comes less than a fortnight after Starbucks retained Plumtree Software to power its new US corporate intranet.
