It has announced the availability of the technology for salesforce.com's AppExchange – an online market for users to buy and sell applications developed with the right tools. This will allow users to instantly capture, review and transmit handwritten notes directly into Salesforce using digital pens and Destiny designed digital forms. The digital pen has a camera in its nib that captures pen strokes in correlation to a unique Anoto dot pattern embedded into the form. The moment the form is completed and the 'send' box is ticked, the data is automatically transferred by either connecting to a Bluetooth-enabled mobile handset or by docking the pen into an Internet connected PC. The data can be verified using Destiny FM (Forms Management) for Salesforce, and imported as a new record into Salesforce. Customers will be able to select the number of digital pens that they require and download Destiny's basic package comprising four generic form templates: a sales lead form, task form, event form and contact form. Forms can be customised to match personalised Salesforce accounts or for general business use to be integrated into other business data systems. Edward Belgeonne, chief executive officer of Destiny, said: ‘Salesforce.com's AppExchange provides a common access point for a host of applications and presents a very intuitive way for salesforce.com customers to rapidly get the functionality they need, when they want it. It provides additional business revenue for us and we are excited to be part of salesforce.com's on-demand ecosystem.’ ‘We want to make building and deploying business applications as easy as reading and writing and Destiny's Digital Pen & Paper mobile workforce solution addresses that directly,’ said Dave Back, vice president, AppExchange, salesforce.com.
