Business applications software, Siebel Systems, has announced that IntelliChem, a growing provider of intelligent electronic lab notebooks (ELNs), has selected Siebel CRM OnDemand to power its customer facing operation. US based IntelliChem specialises in delivering intelligent ELN solutions for use in drug discovery, development, formulations, analytical, and bioprocess departments within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and fine chemicals industries. Prior to its deployment of OnDemand, IntelliChem used Excel spreadsheets and Word documents to monitor its sales pipeline, track sales opportunities, and record customer interactions. These processes made it difficult for the organisation to accurately forecast sales, provide required information and support to sales representatives and coordinate efforts to cross-sell and up-sell products and services. IntelliChem intends to use Siebel’s hosted CRM solution to increase its sales revenues and manage its expanding sales organisation and channel partnerships. The company also intends to use the software to help determine how to most effectively allocate resources. The company currently provides intelligent ELN solutions to five of the top ten global pharmaceutical companies and is expecting continued rapid growth, says Matt Wallach, IntelliChem’s vice president. ‘Therefore, we needed a hosted CRM solution that will expand with us and provide the tools our sales, service, and marketing organisations need to ensure IntelliChem's continued success,’ he told SM365. |
