Seibel gets caught in .NET Microsoft and Siebel Systems have announced Siebel 7.7, the latest release of Siebel business applications, running on the .NET platform, as part of the strategic alliance between the two companies. The system includes functionality that links it directly into the Microsoft Office package, and heavily utilises the Outlook for email functionality. Other Redmond programs that feature heavily in the system include BizTalk Server 2004, which runs 7.7's Universal Application Network, a business integration application designed to streamline CRM functions. Windows Server 2003 is said to provide scalability to the whole system. David Schmaier, executive vice president of Siebel Systems explained to SM365 that the 7.7 release sets a new standard for CRM solutions. 'Our close relationship with Microsoft enables us to fully take advantage of the capabilities of its .NET offerings, and will help to ensure the ongoing success of our mutual customers,' he said. CScape announces Certified Software Advisor (CSA) status from Microsoft British web development agency, cScape, has been awarded Certified Software Advisor (CSA) status for Microsoft Business Solutions Customer Relationship Manager (CRM), only a few weeks after Microsoft launched the product in the UK. cScape readily admits to a close working relationship with Microsoft, both in the UK and internationally. As well as implementing content and document management solutions for a number of Microsoft clients, the company is closely involved in product development with Microsoft's Research and Development teams in Redmond. Microsoft chose cScape as one of only ten UK companies with the required technical expertise and reference projects to participate in Microsoft's Internet business partner expert community and has been selected by Microsoft as a key partner for delivering projects on the t .NET Framework. A frequent member of Beta and Early Adopter Programmes for various Microsoft products, cScape also chairs the Microsoft Portals User Group in the UK. |
