Epicor goes Dutch

Mproof signs OEM agreement to offer ITIL compliant version of Epicor's Clientele HelpDesk.

Customer relations management (CRM) Mproof BV, has announced a strategic alliance with Epicor Software to offer an IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) compliant version of Epicor's Clientele HelpDesk solution, which will be called Mproof Clientele ITSM.

The CRM software is said to include strong call management tools, knowledge management, detailed asset management and tracking of user profiling data features.  The software is under pilot with a leading Dutch service management company, using Epicor's product as a framework for its extended features.

ITIL provides a cohesive set of best practice rules, drawn from the public and private sectors internationally. It is supported by a qualification scheme, accredited training organisations, and implementation and assessment tools. The best-practice processes promoted in ITIL both support, and are supported by, the British Standards Institution's Standard for IT Service Management (BS15000).

The standard has offered real benefits and has been widely adopted in both the UK and the Netherlands over the last 10 years, according to Gerben van Kesteren, Mproof Commercial Director.

Founded in 1997, Mproof BV currently supports Epicor's Clientele Helpdesk at sites in the Benelux region, with clients including Dutch Railways, the Ministry of Justice and the offices of NATO.

'The system is built from the ground up on .NET-based Web services technology, which provides a level of future proofing and investment protection that is essential for a system that will be at the core of business for over a decade,' he added.

Epicor Clientele has over 3000 customers in the small and midsize enterprises market and has won numerous industry.

'We're pleased to show our continuing commitment to support our channel partners in creating Epicor solutions that fit the needs of the client,' said Ian Walker, vice president and general manager for Epicor.
