For the service which links mobile devices with office applications, Mobile Techlink, users pay a fixed price per user, per month avoiding the capital investment in software and hardware although new users will have to sign an initial 12 month contract. ‘We feel that our new Mobile Techlink pricing model takes many of the worries out of making a commitment to a new software product,’ said Larry Laux, president and founder of Metrix. He added that as well as saving capital costs ‘users don’t need to worry about hidden maintenance and support costs since these are included in the price.’ The service will be available in UK through Metrix partner, Field Service Management.
